Q1: How do I submit photos?
Ans: Click on “F connect button” and login your Facebook account. Then you can upload from your local computer or choose from your Facebook albums.
Q2: How many photos can I submit?
Ans: Each Facebook user can upload 5 photos per day after Jun 2.
Q3: How do I confirm my photo is successfully submitted to the contest?
Ans: You will receive an email titled “D5100 Competition: Your submission has been received” to indicate we have received your photo. Upon approval, you will receive a second email titled “D5100 Competition: Your submission has been accepted” to indicate your photo is approved. You will find a link which you can review your photo on the contest site. A post about your successful submission will also be automatically fed to your Facebook wall. You can share the link to your friends and gain “votes” afterwards.
Q4: How do I know my photo is rejected?
Ans: Upon review, you will receive an email titled: “D5100 Competition: Your submission was rejected” to indicate your photo is not accepted. Reason of reject is subjected mainly to inappropriate photos, for example nudity, delivery of illicit message, bias, and mismatch with the contest theme, etc.
Q5: How long will it take for my photo to be approved?
Ans: Approval will take up to 48 hours.
Q6: How many “Vote” I can make per photo?
Ans: Each Facebook user can vote for once per photo.
Q7: How many days per photo will be included to count “Vote” per photo?
Ans: Each photo will be entitled 7 days to count “Vote” upon submission. For example, if you have submitted your photo on 2nd Jun for the 4th competition week by the deadline on 8th June, your “Vote” will be counted till 8th June. If you have submitted your photo on 7th Jun for the 4th competition week by the deadline on 8th June, your “Vote” will be counted till 13th June.
Q8: Which competition week will my photo be enrolled?
Ans: Each photo will be enrolled to a competition week stated in “How to Enter”. For the schedule, please refer as below:

Q9: What are the criteria concerned for the winner of “Photo-of-the-Week”?
Ans: “Photo-of-the-Week” will be selected in an equal basis on Judges Selection and Number of votes.
Q10: How many photos will be awarded per competition week?
Ans: 1 photo will be chosen as the “Photo of the Week” and the winner will receive a set of Nikon’s Capture NX 2 Software. At the end of the 5th week, the best photo out of the five Photo-of-the-Week winners will receive a Nikon D5100 Camera.
Q11: When will “Photo of the Week” be announced?
Ans: “Photo of the Week” will be announced 1 week after the last submission day of a competition week. This ensures every photo submitted will be entitled to the same 7 days to gain “likes”. The first week winner will be announced on 26 May, 2011.
Q12: Will the number of “likes”/"Votes" be reset?
Ans: No. We will not reset “likes”/"Votes" per competition week.
Q13: What is the concern on “like”?
Ans: As of the recent update of Facebook guidelines on the use of its features/ functionality, Facebook “like” counts will be dropped out of selection criteria and the counts remain for reference.
Q14: How would the 2nd and 3rd “Photo-of-the-Week” be selected after “like” count has been dropped out?
Ans: The 2nd and 3rd “Photo-of-the-Week” will be selected in a basis solely on Judges Selection.
Q15: How would “Vote” work after Jun 2?
Ans: “Vote” is provided as a voting button. Each Facebook user can vote for once per photo. The entries will go for “Photo of the Week” which counts half on Nikon Judges selection and half on “Vote” after Jun 2.
Q16: Why can't I find my photo entry on the contest page?
Ans: Your entry could still be in the process of approval. If you have received our approval notification email, the photo would be in the gallery. Besides, you can check your approval status on the contest page. Simply click the button Facebook Connect and login. You will be able to see the status under “My Submissions”.
Q17: What should I do if I do not receive any email from Nikon after the submission of photos?
Ans: Please check your junk mail box and spam mail box. Alternatively, send us an email with your Facebook name, registered email address and your question to discovernikon@nikon-asia.com. We shall check the validity of your submission.
